For the kids, teens, and young adults carrying anxiety, trauma, or grief, Brooke shows up with compassionate curiosity and zero pressure to have it all figured out.

Brooke Ortiz, AMFT (152387) is a client-centered therapist, who brings compassionate curiosity with every individual who enters her room. Brooke cultivates a warm environment to hold space for her clients as they wade through the messiness of life. Her heart is to come alongside each client to sort through varying thoughts, emotions and experiences, explore deep-rooted beliefs, and take steps towards healing.

Brooke enjoys working with children, teens, and young adults with a deep passion for those experiencing anxiety, trauma, and grief. Coming from a Christian faith background, Brooke is able to support clients who wish to integrate their faith into therapy, weaving in ways to make sense of their experiences and implement values-based, meaningful decisions for their lives.

Brooke is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a therapeutic modality to aid clients in processing traumatic experiences. She integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts-based approaches to help clients heal trauma, reduce anxiety and shame, and build a more compassionate relationship with themselves, while also supporting the development of insight, emotional regulation, and self-compassion. As an eclectic, client-centered clinician, she thoughtfully supports each client’s growth and healing.

Healing happens in the meaningful, messy, and in-between moments. Those are exactly the moments I show up for.

– Brooke Ortiz

Brooke brings genuine passion and intention to everything she does. During her undergraduate studies, she realized that human biology wasn’t where her curiosity truly lived—and that realization led her to psychology, where she discovered a deep and lasting interest in understanding the human mind and the healing process. That shift marked the beginning of her commitment to helping others navigate growth, change, and emotional well-being.

Shaped by her own mental health journey, Brooke deeply values showing up for clients in the meaningful, messy, and in-between moments that make real change possible. She knows firsthand the power of being met with openness, compassion, and warmth, and as a clinician, she strives to offer that same grounded, supportive presence to every client who walks into her office.

Outside the therapy room, Brooke enjoys spending intentional time with friends and her church community. A strong advocate for self-care, she personally recharges through movement—whether that’s running, biking, or taking on new physical challenges. She also loves time in nature, reading, journaling, and creative writing, all of which help keep her grounded, inspired, and connected.
