Caitlin Schweighart, ACSW (125703), is dedicated to supporting individuals and families on their unique healing journeys. She uses a person-centered, integrative approach, combining evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Somatic & Mindfulness practices, and Solution-Focused Therapy to meet each client’s needs. Caitlin is also trained in Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), tailoring treatment for maximum effectiveness.
With her background in community mental health, Caitlin is passionate about helping clients, especially children and adolescents, navigate anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. She believes in a collaborative, empowering therapeutic process, equipping clients with coping skills to regulate both body and mind.

A Little About Caitlin:
As a military spouse of 14 years and a mother of two children (plus two pups and a cat), Caitlin has navigated the unique challenges that come with military life—frequent moves, adjusting to new environments, and the uncertainty of deployment. Managing household responsibilities while her husband is away has taught her the importance of flexibility, resilience, and building a strong support network. These experiences have deepened her understanding of the pressures that military families face, from the stress of relocation to the emotional impact of separation.
Raising a child with anxiety and OCD in the midst of these challenges has been both rewarding and difficult. Caitlin’s personal experience as a mother gives her invaluable insight into the emotional struggles that children and their families can go through. She understands the delicate balance of being a nurturing parent while also managing her child’s mental health needs. Having grown up with her own phobias and mental health challenges, Caitlin knows firsthand how overwhelming these struggles can be, and this personal history fuels her dedication to finding individualized therapeutic solutions for her clients.
Her journey as a mother has shaped her belief in the uniqueness of each person’s healing path. Whether helping her own child navigate OCD and anxiety or supporting clients through their own challenges, Caitlin is committed to creating a compassionate, understanding environment. She believes that by meeting people where they are, they can discover what works best for them and build the confidence to move forward. Her lived experience allows her to connect deeply with clients facing family or mental health struggles, particularly those within the military community or dealing with similar anxieties.
