My personal journey has brought clarity and healing to the most hurt parts of myself – and that’s exactly what I want for you.
– Sierra Wagner
Having grown up with my own family dysfunction, much of my childhood was marked with
uncertainty, a survival mentality, and negative core beliefs. Thankfully, towards the end of high school I enrolled in a Psychology course and my chaotic world slowly began to make sense. My natural understanding of psychology and passion for this class led me to getting my Bachelors in Psychology, and eventually my Masters in Counseling. This education brought with it some of the most challenging yet fruitful moments of my life, and with each step I have continued to find and heal more of myself.
My professional journey with psychology, as well as my own personal journey as a client, has
brought clarity and healing to the most hurt parts of myself. The combination of my personal and professional experience has also led me to become the passionate and skilled therapist I am today. It is truly an honor and a privilege to walk alongside clients on their own journeys towards health and healing.
Although I absolutely love what I do here at Light Within Counseling, I still believe it’s important to balance one’s personal and professional life, so I fill my personal time with some not-so-fun responsibilities like everyone else, and also with some other things that I love – such as friends & family, outdoor adventures, and deep dives into functional medicine and all things holistic health! I’m admittedly more of a cat person than a dog person, but I’m generally an animal lover either way. I probably watch too many crime shows if I’m being honest. I enjoy both watching and playing sports, though I’m not particularly an expert at either. And if I could have any superpower, I’d definitely choose fluency in every language.
