Kaleena Benjamin, (#) is a grounded and compassionate therapist who believes therapy is a collaborative space where you can come as you are. She works with children, teens, adults, and families, supporting clients in building self-esteem, strengthening self-regulation, exploring identity, improving communication, and developing meaningful connection. Kaleena takes a culturally humble, relational, and systemic approach to therapy, recognizing that each person is shaped by their relationships, experiences, identities, and environments. She strives to create a space where clients feel welcomed, understood, and free to express themselves authentically, without judgment or the pressure to be anyone other than who they are. Her work incorporates creativity, play therapy, and client-tailored techniques to meet each person where they are. Kaleena values the importance of the people and systems surrounding her clients and, when appropriate, welcomes collaboration with family members, caregivers, and other providers. Above all, she hopes to help clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to better understand themselves, navigate life’s challenges, and strengthen the connections that matter most.

– Kaleena Benjamin
Hello and welcome! My interest in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy began while I was working as an assistant kindergarten teacher at a daycare. Through working closely with children and their families, I developed a deeper appreciation for the unique relationships between parents and children and the many factors that shape a child’s behavior and development, including family dynamics, culture, societal expectations, and other external influences. This experience sparked my interest in psychology and ultimately led me to pursue a degree in therapy so that I could better support children and their families.
During my clinical internship, I have had the opportunity to work with children, teens, adults, and families as they navigate a variety of challenges. My work has focused on improving communication, strengthening relationships and connection, and supporting individuals and families in navigating diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I have also worked with individuals experiencing OCD, grief, substance use, and other life challenges.Outside of work, you can usually find me doing some type of craft, spending time with friends and family, or exploring a new coffee shop.
